Believe it or not, Travis Scott is not his real name. Instead, his parents named him Jacques Webster. His stage name was inspired by him favourite uncle, whose name was Travis. As a child she looked up to him, his swag and smart business decisions.
Born for music
Scott was interested in music from a young age. He was only three years old when he started playing the drums. After a while, he moved to piano, but he finally quit after two years. When asked why, Scott joked that it was the failure to impress women that made him quit. Later, he discovered that making beats was a path to pursue romance, as the electronic sound “got all the girls”.
Dropout
Scott attended classes at the University of Texas at San Antonio for two years before dropping out. Why? To pursue music full time, obviously. He wants to accomplish his dream, no matter what it takes. In an interview, he said: “Every day in college is miserable. I want to be an artist. I want to be on the album. I want to be on the rap stage on MTV.” And in a way that worked for him, clearly, dropping out was an incredible decision.
