On Tuesday, March 10, The Columbus Experience held an Annual Gathering to celebrate the city’s 2014 achievements and what 2015 has in store. And there’s much more to come!
Focusing here on Columbus’ hot fashion scene, 2015 will bring some of the most thrilling events, shows, parties and exhibitions the city has ever seen. Capital Style The magazine’s 1st Annual Fashion Runway Show in April, (Columbus College of Art and Design), CCAD Senior Fashion Show and VIP party in May, Fashion Meets Music Festival (FMMF) in September and CMH Fashion WeekA week full of events in October, this city is the place to be!
First, Capital Style magazine will be presenting its first fashion show on April 9 at Strongwater Columbus‘ modern eclectic venue. The event will showcase six of the city’s best and most popular boutiques – Thread, Rowe, Ladybug, Leals, Happy Go Lucky Her And LeFlair.

“The Capital Style Runway Show will benefit Dress for Success Columbus and includes a social hour with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, sample sales to offer special discounted deals to guests and other sponsorship engagements. In May, an event that draws nobody from Columbus, CCAD will hold its annual Senior Fashion Show on May 8. This event showcases the better of promising senior class designers in design and artistry in fashion. The event included a VIP cocktail party, a runway show featuring 20 designers and an after party. See future fashion stars on May 8 and visit CCAD.edu for ticket.
The next Fashion Meets Music Festival (4-5 September) includes a line-up of well-known national and native music artists and fashion designers. The event is in its second year in Columbus and looks to be probably the most anticipated annual events that mixes music and fashion. Finally, a fashion event that brings attendees from across the US to Europe and beyond, CMH Fashion Week. In its sixth year, 2015 is set to be the best yet! CMH Fashion Week is the second largest Fashion Week in the Midwest and features top up-and-coming designers. The main designers of 2014 are Runway project alumni and Ohio natives Althea Harper. headliners this year?

CMH Fashion Week kicks off on the 4th of October with its annual High Fashion Tea. This exclusive invite-only event is only one of the highlights of the week. The rest of the week includes industrial mixers, bridal runway shows and ends with the Finale Runway Show on Saturday, October 10 at Columbus Antennaum. This is a week you do not want to miss!
