Old Settlers Park – Round Rock

Round Rock’s Old Settlers Park is the City’s crown jewel of the park system and is a well-known sports destination in the youth and amateur sports leagues.  The park’s 640 acres provides ample space for several recreational pursuits such as disc golf, cricket, 20-field baseball complex, 5-field softball complex, soccer facilities, and more. 



There are currently 7 playgrounds located within the park. One of it is the Joanne Land Playground that includes a new Gravity Rail where kids can climb on a swing that glides along a track speeds to a downward slope, curves up a hill that carries kids up, then down again.

Old Settlers Park is located at 3300 Palm Valley Blvd The site is heavily shaded and tucked away from busy streets.

Bright Lake is stocked as needed by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Fish Hatchery program.  The most common species are Bass, Catfish, and Perch.  

Trails: The park offers 3.3 miles of paved trails which cross the lake and connect several of the park’s key features including the Dell Diamond.

Picnic Areas: Old Settlers Park is also a place to congregate outside, barbeque and have a game of horseshoes at one of the two pavilions.

There are currently more than 40 picnic areas with barbeque grills located throughout the park.  Picnic areas are first come first serve unless located under the rental pavilions.

There are two, large pavilions located in Old Settlers Park. Both the Lakeview Pavilion and Rabb Pavilion are great venues for corporate gatherings, church picnics, birthday parties and family reunions. The Lakeview Pavilion is located adjacent to a restroom building and the Rabb Pavilion has portable restrooms available. Both pavilions are located adjacent to large playgrounds and parking lots.

The Lakeview and Virg Rabb Pavilions are available for rental. Both pavilions are located in Old Settler’s Park in Round Rock.

The Lakeview Pavilion area is the popular spot for city festivals and events, and is the ideal place for your own outdoor picnic, company party or family event. Includes access to: Picnic Areas, Playground, Grills, Shuffleboard and horseshoe pits. This facility includes a restroom.

The Virg Rabb Pavilion is located in Old Settlers Park off of Whitlow way. This is a nicely covered pavilion. The pavilion is along a looped hike and bike trail. Includes access to: 11 brown metal picnic tables, Barbecue grill and Playground. There are no restroom facilities at this pavilion; however, portable restrooms are available.
