San Antonio River walk Texas.  For two weeks, January 25-February 8, 2020  ten river floats carrying magically-illuminated enormous lanterns such as a dragon, adorable pandas, pinatas, and other objects will appear from 6:00-9:00 PM each night.

The last night to take in the beauty is February 8th. Enjoy the magically illuminated floats from anywhere along the downtown portion of the River Walk. Asian-inspired music will softly play from each float.

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE SALES LINKS. PLEASE SEE MY FULL DISCLOSURE POLICY FOR DETAILS.

The black arrow shows the starting point and the red arrows show the path of the floats.  The ten floats will make three laps throughout the downtown area and stay grouped together (a Go Rio tour boat may get mixed in).

We encourage you to enjoy the parade from a restaurant patio, you may wish to combine watching the floats with dinner or drinks (reference the map for restaurants on the parade route).

Please notify the restaurant of your preference to sit close to the river for optimum viewing. Due to heavy boat traffic on the weekends, the floats don’t go by the Shops at Rivercenter or into the Convention Center extension.
