Tombstone, Arizona, one of the most lawless mining camps in the American West, was soon dubbed “The Town Too Tough to Die.”
A trip to Allen Street really gives people a chance to see what life was once like in the Old West. With plenty of attractions to choose from, as well as re-enactments of famous showdowns, visitors will truly get a glimpse into the history of the time. And, with everything so beautifully preserved it really feels like you’re back in the days of the Wild West. Allen Street is a must-see for any visit to Tombstone.
The first stop on any trip to Allen Street should be the Tombstone Visitor and Information Center, where people can pick up a map of the area along with all the information that they need to plan their day. After that, they can head on down the Street to see what they come across.
The O.K. Corral is the site of the most famous gunfight of the Old West which took place on October 26, 1881. It has daily re-enactments of the fight and is also home to the Historama, a multimedia performance showcasing Tombstone’s long and varied history. After that there’s plenty to choose from, including the Tombstone Ghosts and Legends
Walk where they walked … and drank … and shot. Felt like you were stepping back in time with the bar, mirror and the tin ceiling. Looking around the crowded room were bullet holes in the walls and ceiling. Doc was seen standing at the bar talking to patrons and Johnny Ringo!
..And finally, we ended our day tour at the Crystal Palace Saloon. I don’t remember anymore what we ordered but I still do get chills looking at these pictures.
The best hotel in Tombstone located just outside downtown Tombstone. We stayed here while we toured the area. The room is very comfortable and clean. The breakfast bar had a good variety and the great room where it was served was also quite clean. I liked the fact that the room entries were inside,this made me feel very safe and secure.Worth every cent. We will be back !!!

I lived right outside of Tombstone for most of my life. It’s definitely an awesome place to visit! My mom actually took a tour through the Birdcage and caught a few soooky noises on her recorder. Thanks for sharing!
