Taylor Swift has challenged and conquered the music industry and now she is foraying into the fashion industry.
Earlier this month Swift went against Apple Inc. and won when he thought they weren’t paying artists enough royalties during a three-month trial of their new music service. The singer-songwriter had fallen out with Apple competitor Spotify earlier this year over also not paying artists enough royalties.
Now, Swift is teaming up with JD.com, China’s second-largest e-commerce website, to launch a clothing line. The Swift line would only be available at the China opening in November, which coincided with Swift’s 1989 tour dates in Shanghai. Fashionista.com reports that Swift struck a deal with JD.com to fight brands using her name without rights.
The Huffington Post reports that the line will include “dresses, sweaters and tops.” Swift is known for wearing matching crop top sets so her line is certain to be stuffed with her classic look.
Swift got her start in the fashion industry with Keds in the fall of 2012. She currently has a “1989 World Tour” shoe line available to them. His designs include prints from his 1989 album, cats, and all the North American tour stops. They are available at DSW, Shoe Carnival, Nordstrom, Famous Footwear, and Shoe Shelf Space.
Swift has a classy group of friends made up of some of the most famous models in the world: Karlie Kloss, Gigi Hadid, Martha Hunt, Lily Aldridge, and that is only the start. Check out his “Bad Blood” music video to see more.
