If you are looking to change up your lunch routine in Philadelphia or South Jersey, have a look at the XIX Nineteen restaurant located right on the 19th Floor of the Hyatt hotel, on Broad and Walnut streets.
Upon entering, you’ll find yourself in a white room with a formidable domed ceiling and architectural charm.
Sit down for lunch at the cafe, which includes a three-course meal for just $22. Your first course will be a walk-up table with a selection of real meats and cheeses, and a wide range of salads. Second course options include pasta, panini or wrap, pizza, steak or fish of the day. For a third course, walked back to the counter for their daily selection of desserts, parfaits, and small cakes—I enjoyed sampling lemon squares, cakes, mango pudding in a glass, and fresh strawberries and blueberries.
All meals come with a soda or iced tea. My table waitress neglected to offer us extra drinks but we were so busy enjoying our food we did not mind.
According to its website, XIX Nineteen also offers brunch, cafe breakfast, dinner and afternoon tea.
If you park in the Bellevue garage you’ll have to take an elevator to the hotel lobby, an escalator and a second elevator to reach the restaurant, but the aesthetics and rooftop views of the city will be worth it.
