So… how was your summer? Did you manage to go on vacation? Chances are, your summer plans may have been spoiled by the recent pandemic, and these plans may include the holiday you have been hoping for. Enough trash for most of us already!
The lack of a suitable summer is only one of the reasons to book yourself a winter vacation.
Here are some other reasons to consider the likelihood.
#1: You can escape winter sorrow
As winter approaches, the nights get darker, the temperatures get colder, and we all get a little more miserable. Of course, this depends on which part of the world you are in, but if your winter promises to be more than a little dreary, then you should go for it escape your winter blues and visit a hotter, sunnier place. You will then be capable to have a summer like you never had!
#2: There’s still time for a beach vacation
If your swim trunks have not touched the water in the last few months, and if you beach care important things prove insignificant because you have been shut in, now is the time to consider a beach vacation. Of course, some beach resorts will be covered in snow (by actual snow and not tourists) but there’s tropical beach destination who will still see plenty of sun this winter. From Honolulu to the Grand Cayman Islands, you have many options if travel is not restricted.
#3: You can enjoy winter
Of course, you may not care much for tropical locations. Instead, you might want a winter vacation that’s laden with snow and colder-than-average temperatures. You can visit the Northern Lights in Iceland, or Santa Claus and fairies in Finland. You might even want to try the slopes at a ski resort too, and feel the wind on your face as you glide down the mountain.
#4: You can skip Christmas
We’re not saying you should skip Christmas totally, obviously. You can still celebrate with a glass of wine and a mince pie, wherever you are. But if you are dreading your in-laws’ annual visits, and if you do not expect lots of carolers to come to your house, then leaving may be the perfect thing to do. Yes, people may tell you that you are just a scrooge, but you can wave them happily when you get on the plane, and provide them some crap (literally or otherwise) when you say goodbye to them.
#5: You can visit the winter festival
OK, so quite a lot of festivals are going to be postponed, we know, and they should be. Crowds of individuals are a health and safety nightmare waiting to occur right now. However, it may be a different story in December and January, and there may be safety regulations in place at the continuous festivals. So, assuming it is safe to do so, check this out winter festivaland if you cannot go this year, consider next year.
