Summer is when we try and take care of our skin the most because of the heat. There’s nothing worse than UV rays to dry them out or, even worse, burn them to a crisp. During winters, we tend to be a bit more liberal about our skincare. Every woman knows that there’s less sunshine and more rainfall at the end of the year, so why spend so much time preparing to go out or sleep?
The reality is that winter is just as harmful to the skin as any other time of year. As a result, it is vital for a girl to have the needs of her skin by her side. Below are some that we should invest in now that winter is coming.
Non-greasy Moisturizer
The skin doesn’t feel dry during winter months as it produces lots of oil. However, we frequently mistake this to mean we do not need to moisturize; our bodies have our backs. The truth is the climate is much drier from November and December to February, so moisturizing is crucial. This is particularly true for people like us who spend lots of time indoors with very hot heaters. A HA Infused lotions are an incredible start, particularly if they do not contain added oils. Hyaluronic Acid is a super-hydrator so it will keep the skin moist all day long without feeling greasy.
SPF50
Seems like overkill to most of us, does not it? The sun barely shines, and when it does it is not so strong. While it may be less intense in winters, it’s still a force to be reckoned with as far as our skin is worried. Without enough protection, these sandals will absorb lots of sunlight and dry out faster than Gandhi sandals. If it’s a sunny day, then SPF 50 is a must because we’re not going to get a tan, so it’s better to block it fully.
Retinol Treatment
Thanks to the very cold winds and the absence of moisture, the skin becomes tighter during winters. Even although it might not feel as bad as what happens in the summer, the weather still has an effect. In fact, it affects our skin the way the July sun can never. Due to the cracks and defects that appear, wrinkles are more likely to appear the next day. This can take a while, but we must be prepared with a backup plan. I’m grateful, retinol increase collagen production and help us fight.
Lip balm
While most of our bodies are covered in cold weather, not all of them receive special treatment. The face is usually exposed, which is why the majority of us have facial moisturizers. However, these don’t cover the lips and they get a raw deal. Plus, because they need constant moisture, they start dividing quickly. Lip balmapplied regularly, will make our lips look full and delightful all year round.
And there you have it, ladies – the important things we cannot afford to miss this year.
