Last year was a big one for Andy Grammer—he appeared in the World Series, was a contestant on “Dancing with the Stars,” and most recently, helped light up the New Year with an appearance during “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Night.”
I followed up with “Honey, I’m Fine.” singer on Electric 94.9’s Acoustic Christmas, and asked how he would raise the bar in 2016.
“Oh my, I do not know, that’s lots of pressure. Actually, I believe it comes from the new songs. I’ll start writing some new material in January/February. So, I’m excited to live a new life.
Andy prepares to start his album promotions, Magazines or Novelswhich required writing over 100 songs to obtain the 11 songs on the album.
“To me, it is like you write until you have something that you know is actually good, otherwise you hope is actually good. I have lots of songs on the album but I haven’t got “Baby, I’m good.” Not yet. And as soon as we heard it, we knew.
As for one person who did not make an album Andy would like to collaborate with in the future, “Stevie Wonder, Stevie—let’s do this. I love Stevie, it is awesome.
While Andy is not touring, he’s hoping to take the time to attain his New Year’s resolutions.
“I will try to meditate a little more. In this lifestyle, you move very quickly, so I’m trying to find out if I can find even 5 minutes a day to be still for a moment.
