Aston Martin Chief Executive Officer, Dr Ulrich Bez, said: “DBS is the ultimate expression of Aston Martin’s engineering and technical capabilities. It offers pure performance without compromise.
“DBS provides a complete driving experience and bridges the gap between our road and track cars – the DB9 and DBR9.”
As snug on twisty mountain circuits as it’s on the open road, the DBS is a real thoroughbred. The Aston Martin DBS is a 6.0 liter, race, two-seater V12 engine shaped by aerodynamic demands high performancewith a fantastic interior that combines charming handcrafted materials with the latest performance technologies.
The combination of chic design, innovative manufacturing processes, race-derived materials and components, and Aston Martin’s unparalleled craftsmanship make the DBS a luxury sports car without equal. Every line, curve and curve conveys the immense potential of DBS, a tantalizing blend of smoothness and raw power, provided by a handcrafted V12 that produces 510 bhp, a top speed of 191 mph and a 0-60 mph time of 4.1 seconds.

Need for high performance stability, handleability and low curb weight define the shape and construction of the DBS. As such, the DBS is the first production Aston Martin to make extensive use of ultra-light carbon fiber body panels. High levels of performance and control are led to by the combination of inherent light weight, near-perfect weight distribution, an unbelievably powerful and versatile V12 engine, and a performance-enhanced six-speed transmission, together with new carbon ceramic brakes and an adaptive damper controlled suspension system.
The heart of the DBS is a 6.0 liter V12 engine. Like all current Aston Martins, it’s assembled by hand at Aston Martin’s dedicated engine facility in Cologne, Germany. The classic 6.0-liter V12 contains a number of power upgrades. These include a ‘by-pass’ engine air intake port which opens above 5500 rpm to allow more air into the engine, and a re-profiled air intake port which further improves airflow into the combustion chamber. Combined with a compression ratio of 10.9:1, the result of these improvements is incredible power and torque: The DBS produces 510 bhp at 6500 rpm. A final-drive ratio of 3.71:1 ensures that additional power can be used, boosting gears acceleration specifically.
