Being human takes courage, but brave confidence does not come easy for everybody; and often requires you to start from within. You may need to overcome mental blocks and overcome personal physical barriers that hold you back.
Now is the perfect time to break free from those internal limitations and challenge yourself to live boldly and boldly. Here are some ideas for unlocking your potential from the inside out, enabling you to live bolder at any age:
Start with a bowel examination
To be your best self and have the “courage” to overcome whatever lies ahead, control your guts and achieve victory. According to a recent Renew Life survey, three out of four women (72 percent) reported that they had occasional digestive problems in the last 12 months, such as bloating, constipation and diarrhea. All of this isn’t only a sign your gut needs filling and balance, but it is reason enough to sit aside rather than experience new adventures.
Nutrition experts like Ellie Krieger, RD, host of “Ellie’s Real Good Food” and author of several healthy cookbooks, agree that probably the most efficient and impactful ways to balance the digestive tract for better digestive and immune health is with an everyday probiotic such as Renew Life Ultimate Flora Probiotics, recommended for blending multiple strains and billions of live cultures, reflect the natural variety in the gut.
Trying something new
When you try something you have never done before, it stimulates both the body and mind. Don’t worry about failing – keep an open mind and have fun. Whatever the outcome, you will be creating memories to last a lifetime.
For example, even if you are unskilled, sign up for a pottery class. Always wondered about yoga? Have an introductory session. Want to make new friends? Attend that community function. When you step out of your comfort zone, you may be surprised at how much fun you have.
Eat new foods
Expand your nutritional flavor with healthy foods that are not staples in your daily diet – mix them with dishes you know and try a few times. Training your brain to recognize new tastes and smells requires lots of exposure, and proximity to familiar favorites helps keep things safe through association. You never know what might be your next favourite dish.
Some healthy culinary trends that you might want to try include sea vegetables such as dulse, seaweed, and foods containing probiotic cultures, such as kimchi, sauerkraut, kefir, and yogurt. You might even consider signing up for a cooking class to learn new skills in the kitchen.
Take a spontaneous PTO day
Americans waste 658 million days of paid vacation, according to the 2016 report Project: Time Off’s State of American Vacation. That means more than half of workers (55 percent) go unused. Don’t let precious time off slip by, and take a mental health day.
Call on a random day and provide yourself the gift of an unplanned vacation. Maybe it is a very nice day and you can go hiking otherwise you can surprise your best friend with lunch on her birthday. Take “my day” and enjoy.
Meditate and be a role model
Who do you admire for their guts? Is it someone famous or someone near you? Think about what they did that inspired you. If you can, tell them why. For example, write a letter to your mother about how she influenced your life. It will certainly please him.
As you think of role models, reflect on how you can improve yourself. Whether you hope to encourage your friends, kids or co-workers, be the best you can be. Always stand up for what you believe in and be true to yourself. One way to do this is by donating to a cause that’s near your heart.
Challenge yourself
Need extra motivation to live bolder? Join fun challenges that can guide you in addition to provide a sense of community and support. Sign up for a 5K with friends or take your family to a month-long meat-free Monday. When you do a challenge in a group it can be quite a lot of fun.
