The 2016 MTV Movie Awards took place in Burbank, California on April 9 and premiered on April 10. From Rebel Wilson and Adam DeVine making out sesh after winning “Best Kiss” to Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid playing with their popcorn, this award show is a night to remember. The most memorable part of the evening for some people may be what your favourite star is wearing. Here are the best and worst dressed from the 2016 MTV Movie Awards.
Best Dressed:
Kendall Jenner has a greek goddess vibe in her sheer black dress, strappy heels (previewed on her Snapchat and Instagram) and ball-style ponytail. The v cut and high and low style of her dress added just the correct amount of sexiness to her look.
Gigi Hadid looked professional in a striped blazer and trousers. The lace bralette under the yellow buttons makes it all work. Hadid’s freshly cut bangs nearly distract from her killer outfit.
Cara Delevingne wore a wonderful sheer velvet jumpsuit. The gold accessories complement her bold look quite well.
Holland Roden killed the off shoulder trend with this bright blue top and trousers to match.
Lilly Singh wore a smooth blue jumpsuit and black loafers for the award. His looks embodied the menswear trend to the fullest. Her diamond necklace accented the ensemble perfectly.
Worst Dressed:
Emilia Clarke may be great on screen, but on the red carpet she’s not so great. The actress wore a white midi dress with a lady’s face on it. It’s not that pretty it is creepy.
Amy Poehler wore a bomber jacket, Mickey Mouse T-shirt, black jeans and sneakers. That might work on her day off, but not the red carpet.
Farrah Abraham went with the old Hollywood glam look with loose curls and a curve-hugging floor-length robe. The only problem with her look is the gold and black sequin pattern that’s too much and her makeup is a few colours.
Halsey showed up in a three-piece salmon shorts suit. The jacket is lovely with diamond embroidery. Sparkling bras and high-waisted shorts are just too much.
Kat Graham tries out the latest slip dress trend. Her light pink slip dress just did not work. The string ribbon is in the wrong place.
