Chris Michaels Steakhouse & Lounge is really the better of both worlds, from the valet parking to the desserts. Chris Michaels is the perfect scene for a formal family dinner, a night out on the town with friends, or a get-together for a game. The dimly lit ambiance, impeccable service and delicious dishes are a welcome setting for any occasion. Owner Mike Kontos, prides himself on his fresh, uniquely seasoned and punctiliously cooked ingredients.
After leaving your car with the valet and picking up your ticket, take it on an empty stomach to the lobby. The host welcomes you to the happy medium of the venue and will ask what you enjoyed. To your left is an area that doubles as a sports bar nightly and a lounge area on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights complete with lights, flat screens, curtains, dance floor and VIP seating areas. On your right is a stylish but traditional steakhouse and a more family atmosphere. Servers will warmly greet you at your table and make you feel right at home. They are right down to earth and very knowledgeable about the menu. If you are feeling a little overwhelmed and not sure of the variety presented on two different menus, just ask.
To start (and while you are skimming the menu), do not hesitate to order their refreshing in-house sangria served elegantly in a tall goblet with squared granny smith apples and ripe orange wedges over ice. Several popular entrees feature the thick flesh of the famous apple wood; sliced that yields a combination of flavorful salty goodness and charcoal straight from the grill. These easy slices served alone on a plate will convert non-pork eaters to faith. The calamari was unlike anything I’ve ever had as it was fried to perfection, crispy yet pure, served in a marinara sauce that tasted like it came straight from the vine, then dressed with crushed red peppers for a surprising zing.
Chris Michael’s steak home is most known for its perfectly tender, juicy and raunchy Filet Mignon which would have melted in your mouth were it not for the generous amount of fiery homemade steak sauce served on the side tenderly and lightly cooked. a tower of fries and salted onions to seal the deal. The steaks are plump, moist and filling; watch out not to fall in love. Before you leave happy, pleased and served remember to order the crème brulee. A thick sweet treat with a crunchy surface topped with sliced strawberries, raspberries and blueberries; a delicious thick creamy core can be found underneath. The Chris Michaels experience is a complicated touch to your everyday steakhouse.
