Facial should be a vital part of each woman’s routine to keep skin glowing and healthy. Of course, every woman likes to be pampered with a facial. But not every woman can afford expensive pampering sessions at the salon regularly. What’s better than a natural DIY facial at home with ingredients straight from your kitchen?? Here is a step by step explanation on how to do a DIY facial:
CLEAN:
You should start with clean skin to make sure that you get the most out of the facial. Instead of normal cleansers, you can use natural ingredients by mixing a tablespoon of raw milk with a tablespoon of lemon juice. Using a cotton pad, apply this mixture to your face and gently rub off excess oil and dirt.
STEAM:
Get a bowl stuffed with very, very hot water. Place a towel in it, wring out the surplus water and place it on your face to open up the pores.
peeled off:
Scrub your skin to remove dead cells using this magic recipe!! Mix 1 tablespoon of oatmeal, 1 tablespoon of rice flour, 1 tablespoon of milk, 1 tablespoon of coarsely ground walnuts (optional) and 1/2 tablespoon of honey. Massage gently into your skin for 10 minutes. It will make your skin glow like never before!!
COMEDO TREATMENT:
Make a paste with baking soda and water and apply this to the blackhead affected areas. Leave it to dry and clean it.
BLEACH: (optional)
Bleaching is a terrific way to lighten dark spots and even out skin tone. Mix 1 tablespoon of tomato puree, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of potato pulp and ½ tablespoon of honey and apply this mixture on your face for 10 minutes. Massage gently for one minute and clean with cotton.
MASSAGE:
Take a tablespoon of banana pulp and massage it on your face for 10 minutes. It will make your skin silky smooth and offer you an instant glow.
FACE MASK:
You will get the leftovers from the exfoliation, whitening and massage steps. Take a tablespoon of the clay of your choice (Indian Healing clay and French clay are my all-time favourites) and blend it in with the leftovers. Add a little rose water to it. Apply all over the face except the eye area. Soak two cotton pads in rose water and place them on your eyes. Lie down and relax. After the mask dries, spray it with rose water and remove the mask by massaging it in a circular motion.
MOISTURIZING:
The clay mask will make your pores clean and you should finish by moisturizing your skin. You can use your regular moisturizer or if you are feeling pampered, treat yourself to a sheet mask. The sheet mask provides intense hydration and leaves your skin baby soft.
