Jones started working out of his Brooklyn apartment making “throwback jerseys” in 2004. He started making them for himself in addition to his friends, increasing their popularity, and folks went crazy for them. . Speaking of friends, Jones’ good friend Jeezy helped Jones get to where he’s today. The two grew up together, and Jones dressed Jeezy before he made it big in fashion, which originated in the famous “Snowman” jersey. After starting his Game Exclusive Apparel business, Jones opened a factory in Atlanta, Georgia where Jones and his team work their magic, whether it is ensuring the materials and fabrics are right, shipping orders, or creating new designs. Tehran Jones began dressing celebrities, starting with Nelly in the “Air Force Ones” music video. However, her celebrity clientele does not end there. Jones dresses celebs like Rick Ross, French Montana, Jay-Z, and Justin Bieber, (just to name a few), making Exclusive Games precisely what it says it’s: exclusive. When asked who his favourite customer was, Jones replied with a laugh, “I like them all”. However, Jones really likes dressing Jay-Z.
Jones not only had an incredible work ethic that pushed him to work hard all day every day, he was also inspired by the work ethic of others. Jones’ inspiration, designer Phillip Klein, has a work ethic and way of thinking that Jones admires. His admiration for the work ethic of others is clear in his own drive. This “drive” was a big part of his success. Jones’ work is now in over a hundred stores, and is selling out in many stores in Brooklyn and New York City.
