Ferrari launched a public exhibition in New York City over Columbus Day weekend to celebrate its 70th yearth birthdays with fans, clients and collectors.
Iconic classics are showcased, in addition to examples of renowned contemporary models at the following locations:
OVER THE DECADE – Rockefeller Plaza
Rockefeller Plaza hosts an open-air exhibition showcasing one incredible car per decade, in addition to a limited-edition LaFerrari Aperta and Michael Schumacher’s Grand Prix-winning F2001.
MOTORSPORT AND PERFORMANCE – Hublot Featured Store
Fifth Avenue store front display of iconic race cars, past and present.
FERRARI TODAY – New York Ferrari Showroom
The front-engined V12 was the highlight.
ICONIC FERRARIES – RM Sotheby’s
Priceless supercars and models, such as the 250 LM, from numerous decades.
Ferrari is also offering fans the chance to become involved in the event and get an opportunity to win one of 70 classic Ferrari experiences through an innovative digital activation. The web application makes use of geolocation technology, allowing users to “check in” at each of the four locations and unlock content about each car.
70th GALA HUT CELEBRATION
A champagne toast at Rockefeller Plaza closed the exhibition on Sunday evening and followed by a private reception at Top of the Rock.
Ferrari commissioned renowned street artist Mitchell Schoerr for a live performance at Rockefeller Plaza and offered the work for auction at a private reception, the proceeds of which went to the charity Save the Children.
Ferrari also partnered with Spireworks, a building-scale interactive lighting installation, which turned the towers of iconic buildings on the New York City skyline during the event to the brand’s signature red.
