80% of individuals reading this have a lifestyle where they sit for most of the day and feel tired at the end of the day. They will look in the mirror and wonder how their waist got so big in such a brief amount of time. This is due from lack of exercise and poor diet. But it is not fully your fault because most of our environments (be it at home or at work) aren’t designed to complement a healthy lifestyle. The problem is if you want to be healthy and have a slim body, you do not need to be difficult.

Maintain a low-carb diet.
People gain undesirable fat from eating foods and drinks that contain carbohydrates and fats, which are stored as energy in the body. Society does not make it any easier because most of the food and drink choices that are presented to people aren’t as healthy as they should be. And generally the healthier options are costlier than the unhealthy alternatives.
If your diet generally consists of rice, pasta, potatoes and sugary drinks then you need to switch to healthier alternatives. Replace sugary drinks with water or green tea and swap starchy foods for leafy greens like cabbage, broccoli and zucchini. You will find that you need to eat more, but your body won’t store what you are consuming as fat.
You also need to increase the amount of lean protein you consume. Make sure that lean protein such as beef, chicken or fish makes up at least 50% of your diet. This will stop you from feeling hungry and you’ll find that you’ll eat less throughout the day.
If your lifestyle doesn’t require you to walk and do lots of physical activity throughout the day (such as working behind a desk), then it is essential that you maintain a low-carb diet.

Participate in 40 minutes of cardio activity 4 times a week.
When someone mentions cardio, the very first thing that generally comes to mind is running on the treadmill. And even although it’s an effective exercise; it is often probably the most tedious ways to do your cardio workout.
You can incorporate more fun into your cardio workouts by participating in social activities or entertaining yourself while you do your exercises. For example, you can take part in group fitness activities where you can meet people and socialize. This might include sporting activities such as basketball, squash, or running clubs. Alternatively, you can join an activity group such as an aerobics class, a crossfit gym, or a dance club.
For days when you are going to be training alone, you can take a scenic run otherwise you can do cardio on a machine while watching your favourite television show or movie.
You can keep your cardio motivation interesting by participating in numerous cardio activities on different days throughout the week.
Increase your sex appeal by lifting weights.
Lifting weights won’t make you look like a bodybuilder. Lifting the proper amount of resistance weights will help you build and strengthen your muscles. Focus on toning your arms, legs, back, shoulders, abs and upper chest. Aim to do 15 repetitions for 3 sets each.
Usually, people see drastic results within 12 weeks. If you start implementing these lifestyle changes, you’ll also start to see similar results.
