#TakeDownJulienBlanc—the hashtags and cries of men and ladies around the globe petitioning against “pickup artist” and the classic, violent, racist, douchebag Julien Blanc and his employer, Real Social Dynamics. Blanc’s disgusting pickup methods included choking women or grabbing their heads and shoving them into his groin. Blanc has a series of stomach-churning videos in which he approaches women and physically places his hand down their throats, puckering his lips with his fingers to silence them. She disgustingly named this campaign “#ChokingGirlsAroundTheWorld.” There’s a video of Blanc teaching his sick pawns how to pick up Japanese women. According to Blanc, to seduce a Japanese woman, you first shove her head into your crotch, then shout out words like Pikachu or Tamagotchi to relieve tension. Julien Blanc claims that, so long as you’re a white male in Tokyo, “you can do what you want.” This wasn’t just happening in Tokyo—it was a global scandal.
Thanks to outrage on social media over this bastard video, Blanc’s Australian tour was delivered to an abrupt halt when protesters swarmed the boat where the seminar was taking place in Southbank. Blanc was forced to move his seminar when The Como Melbourne hotel canceled his reservation. Hotel Bayview on the Park, also located in Melbourne, posted on its Facebook page that Julien Blanc wouldn’t be welcome at their hotel because they don’t condone violence against women and don’t want to be related to the brand. A group of protesters shouted the words “walk in shame” at the largely young male participants who fled the scene. The Minister of Immigration, Scott Morrison, made the decision to cancel Blanc’s visa, stating, “this person is not advancing political ideas, he is advancing demeaning harassment of women.”
I support free speech, but advocating violence and sexual harassment of ladies is a step, obviously, deep Wrong direction. The male audience in her video instantly laughed and clapped, excusing Blanc’s advice, which was really just tips on how to sexually harass and harass women. Don’t forget the cherry on top of this unappetizing sundae—the blatant racism he spews about in terms of the different women he violates around the globe. The million dollar question remains; is it legal to get Blanc out of a country simply because of what he said? While this man represents everything we should all despise, letting the government make a decision like that’s a little scary. What’s worrying is that there was a real demand for this low life from the start. I suppose, in a perfect world, we would not own to petition the government or businesses to get rid of sick people like him. Otherwise, people would have the same decency not to attend his seminars, let alone pay thousands of dollars to receive lessons on how to sexually assault women.
