Business moves a hundred miles a minute. Everything in this world moves so fast but also, forward and backward in tug of war. Some people find that the new way works better for them, but then run into problems that they cannot solve at the moment. Therefore they’re back to doing things the ‘old fashioned’ way. Communication is one area that small business owners need to consider. There are new ways to contact your clients via portals, interfaces, e-mail, SMS and via messaging apps. But what about the real world. Is the world not kind enough to have your door open? You need to have some kind of way in which you can reach the outside world and the outside world can reach you too. Connecting with people either directly or through objects and documents is something you should try to never underestimate.
This is also a meet up
Business conferences are a terrific way to meet your customers, clients and consumers of every kind. Here you can present to the world your business, products and or services together with your own business philosophy. Business fairs and industry events are also two other ways to meet people who love what you do. It is extremely important that you let everybody know that you’re coming to this type of event. Don’t save this to your relevant circle mentioned above, you should explain it on social media. Business leaders know the power they’ve when they’ve followers, even if they’re just starting out. So invite fans to meet you at the event so they can take pictures with you, shake hands, and spread the word about who you are. This is great for publicity but also shows your subscribers that you do not treat them like any other number.
Flexible reach and connections
Sometimes in the real world, something online is worth half the value of something in person. Smiles, handshakes, eye contact, and documentation, all of this stuff are way more important in person than through a screen. Having a way to receive signed documentation by hand rather than an electronic pen means you do not alienate your client base or customers who might be more snug doing such things in the real world. Use something like a cheap po box alternative to receive your e-mail. They scan your document and send it to you. Confidentiality is obviously the top precedence and concern so don’t fret about it not being covered. Luckily you also get a real world address, so it looks like a business that exists in the real world too. This is something that’s important if you’re an online business and maybe want to appear more professional despite its small size. This will also come in useful if you work at home as before considered more serious by clients.
After all, what’s historical? Meeting fans rather than just talking on social media, shaking hands and taking pictures? Being able to accept documents from clients and customers doing things with a pen rather than a mouse? These things will at all times be everlasting.
