When & how did you start your music career?
I’ve been theatrical enough my whole life! I’ve never been shy about being in the spotlight, and have at all times loved putting on a show, making people laugh, and overall making people happy. I started starring in local school and city plays as a child, while taking dance lessons. I love to sing, write poetry, and put my name on all Lil Kim’s rap songs. Not to mention, I also come from a really musical family. My mom played the chords, and my dad was the lead vocalist in a band and played a number of instruments. He was in a band with his brother and nephew, who is probably the most talented drummers, who I also played with. My grandparents sang and were involved in theater as well, so you get the point! Our family parties have at all times been and at all times are fun. Music has at all times been a natural part of my life.
Who is your musical inspiration?
Must be my dad! I know quite a lot of classics because of him. My dad is pretty dumb on the entire so I assume I got it from him! Also my producer and brother, Shy Boogs has at all times been an amazing mentor and inspiration to me. Some of the others include Lil Kim, 2Pac, Nas, and The Beatles.
What type of music did you listen to today?
Everything! I do not stick to one genre. I went from Hip Hop to EDM, to Trap to R&B, pop, oldies, you name it!
If you do not sing, what will you do?
Stripping! (laugh). To be honest, I do not know. If I had to answer, I’d say maybe jump from building to building fighting crime!
Do you play any instrument?
Yes, guitar. I’m not the best, but I’m getting better. I’m also very good at juggling yo-yos!
What were you thinking while performing?
All naked viewers! Just kidding (laughs). I did not really consider being honest with you. I’m completely immersed in the moment and the performance.
For our readers who have never heard of your music, describe it in 5 words?
Soul, energy, love, hate and sex.
Do you have a current album, or do you have an album coming out in the near future?
My debut album, ‘Valentine,’ will be available on iTunes on September 23rd. I’m so happy about it! I put every strand of my being into this project and it truly comes from my heart to yours. I hope my fans and viewers all like it because it means a lot to me. It’s really my heart and soul in terms of music.
What can we expect from you in the future?
I’m going on a 27-city tour in the fall opening for Mike Stud, which I’m really enthusiastic about. My first single, “Lord Have Mercy” I believe will be released by the time your audience reads this. I’ll be bombing the web with music videos, content, and fun stuff while we’re on the go. My official album release party is September 25th at The Bitter End in Manhattan, and I’m also shooting for a TV show in the near future. Lots of great things for 2014! Lots of affection to Social Magazine for all their support.
