With over 1 million YouTube subscribers, people never tire of MAX and cover his popular songs including “As Long As You Love Me”, “Can’t Feel My Face”, and “Payphone”.
When I recently met the 23-year-old actor, singer, and model, he told me what popular radio song he wanted to cover.
“We had a couple of shows with Alessia Cara that had this amazing song “Here,” and she was a very cool, really genuine girl. It’s one that I’ve all the time loved and I’d love to cover it.
The NBC “Crisis” actor released an EP last month titled Wrongwhich included a remix of his song “Gibberish” on it, courtesy of Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump, features Travie McCoy.
“I’ve put out this EP which is a little taste of the album, so I got the full album out, and went on a New Years tour with R5. We toured with them from February to March, which should be cool, and hopefully there will be more tours from there.”
When the full album is released, you’ll see collaborations with some of the biggest names in the music industry including Pharrell on the track list He revealed solely to me how it happened.
“So I’ve done lots of covers on YouTube of other artists’ work with my good friend Kurt. We made a “Blurred Lines” version, and Pharrell‘Helen’s wife saw the video and showed it Pharrell and he was like, ‘hey, I show these videos sometimes, but you should possibly hang around with this kid and do something with him. He reached out and we met in New York City and we were just hanging out and he was playing new music and it was incredible.
