Williamsburg is a neighborhood in Brooklyn founded in 1664. It is connected to the East Village and Lower East Side of Manhattan by the Williamsburg Bridge. Celebrities like Mel Brooks and Barbara Streisand were born here.
Today Williamsburg is among the hottest neighborhoods in New York. Forbes Magazine ranked the area in third place as one of America’s Hipster Hippest Neighborhoods.
But, before the inflow of this new luxury trend, Williamsburg wasn’t at all times that grand! More than ten years ago, the owners of MyMoon saw potential in this raw and abandoned industrial area of Brooklyn. With character in mind, they ventured out to explore the environment for potential buildings they could call their own.
Famous idiom One person’s trash is another person’s treasure pointed description of MyMoon Restaurant. “In 2003, the owner of MyMoon discovered a collapsed garment factory. Vigilant to stay true to its original structure and integrity, the team salvaged and reused as much as possible. MyMoon is now an energetic gathering place featuring heavily Spanish-inspired cuisine and rockin’ paella by Executive chef Mikel Treviño de Luís.
The rehabilitated brick restaurant is a direct reflection of the neighborhood’s lasting transformation. From tapas on the deck to appetizers in the dining room, MyMoon’s opening delivers a refined setting and exquisite cuisine.
Close your eyes and imagine yourself surrounded by interesting architecture in a surprising setting with a Spanish flair. The interior of the restaurant is industrial, with a mixture of leather booths (built from antique kettles) and durable but soft dark wood farm tables. The outside deck is charming yet attractive.
With a newly designed menu and more for 2015 – MyMoon is the perfect place for any occasion. Whether you are hosting a small table for ten birthday dinner or a 150-guest wedding, MyMoon can accommodate your special day. You will not find $12 PULPO A NUESTRA MANERA anywhere else in the New York City Area. I especially enjoyed the STEAK TARTARE, which consisted of prime grass-fed Angus tenderloin, brioche toast, caper berries, whole grain mustard, sour cream crème fraiche & coulis and quail eggs. My favourite dish there’s Fideuà, thin noodles like vermicelli used rather than rice in the popular dish paella. This is typical of the Valencian Community in Spain.
Special drinks include ANTHOS (art in the age snap, fresh rosemary, ginger, honey & easy syrup) and LA MUJER (pisco porton, drambuie, strawberry, orange zest, boston bittahs, egg whites, campari) and take MYMoon to another level high – leaving Williamsburg once again- on the map!

Every dish has a fascinating presentation with new savory flavors and zest, you will not be disappointed.
