On Thursday May 14thth7th The annual In Christy’s Shoes Celebration takes place at Saint Charles Preparatory School in Columbus, OH.
The event was a celebratory occasion for the life of Christy Levy-Peters. Christy, an avid shoe lover died of brain cancer in 2007. Christy is the twin sister of Katrina Levy-Zidel who chose to honor her sister’s legacy and raise funds to help those suffering from the disease that took her sister’s life.
The event started as a humble get-together but has grown beyond the Columbus market to Washington, DC and Arlington, VA. In Christy’s Shoes has now become a gala to visit in all of its markets. With a focus on ‘giving back’, the organization organizes an annual event featuring a shoe fashion show with sponsors including DSW shoes and fashion by Express.
This year’s Columbus show featured not only a shoe fashion show but also special guests Nigel Barker, host of America’s Next Top Model for 17 seasons, Dominique Reihard, singer and contestant of America’s Next Top Model Cycle 10 and Keith Carlos, America’s Next Top Model’s first male winner. .

The incredible food, drinks and celebrity guests weren’t the only highlights of the evening. The enormous auction included Beverly DeAngelo Christian Loubouton’s autographs, Saks Fifth Avenue gift baskets, special event tickets, in addition to other celebrity autographed shoes.
