Hype, Hype, and oh more Hype. Since the start of this year pictures and news have been circulating around the classic Nike Air More Uptempo and Supreme collaboration. The Nike Air More Uptempo was first popularized by Scottie Pippen in 1996 and was designed by Wilson Smith. The models transcend sport and fashion with a distinct look and design. Since the 90s, Uptempo has been dubbed a classic and has seen many retro forms over the years.
Supreme chose this model for use based on its history and striking style. Nike and Supreme will be releasing three different colours: “red/white, three blacks, and metallic gold. Replacing the iconic “air” listed at the top would become “supreme”, and anything with the Supreme label would sell out immediately and attract hypebeasts from around the globe.
We’ve seen many popular athletes like Neymar Jr wear it right before catching a flight and NBA great Derrick Jones Jr wore it at this year’s Dunk Contest. After months of drooling over the pair finally has a scheduled release date of April 27th with a price label of $180. The hype and anticipation around this shoe was enormous, so to get your hands on this was a miracle.
