Paris Fashion Week ended a few days ago, which means Fashion Month is over. There are lots of trends from the biggest month in fashion to look forward to this spring and summer. Chanel, Saint Laurent, Louis Vuitton and plenty of other brands showcased their ready-to-wear collections. Each of them has its own taste for the new season.
Black & Brown
Break the fashion rules and wear black and brown together as seen in the Balmain collection. The trick to pulling off this trend is pairing black with lighter browns rather than clashing dark browns. Model Gigi Hadid wore a black and light brown skirt and crop top on the runway. It is a perfect blend of two colours.
Leather jacket
Louis Vuitton has redefined the leather jacket. On the runway the model was seen in a black leather jacket. One has a military feel to them because of the buttons on them. A fresh twist on an iconic staple brings a solid feel to this upcoming season.
Sophisticated Decoration
Valentino added a modern touch to his evening dress. Fringe, tulle, fur and embroidery all combine to create an attractive dress that’s perfect for galas and red carpets. A tulle skirt with fringe overlay keeps the dress smooth and chic. Embroidery adds an air of sophistication to the whole ensemble.
Colorful Coat
Miu Miu’s theme is largely oversized coats. Cropped peacoats and trench coats with colourful patterns will be big for next spring and summer. Bright colours are great for the transition between winter and spring.
Casual Fashion
Saint Laurent took runway casual and stepped away from couture. The models did well on the runway. They would be perfect for spring rains. Some have lovely rose details. Wellies praised the grunginess of Hedi Slimane’s designs.
