Located in the far southeast of England, Sussex has lots of history. There is evidence of human habitation in this region dating back 500,000 years, and a few oldest fossil in the world and tools have been found there.

Wings Museum
The Wings Museum is a World War II aircraft museum with a distinctive twist. While most airplane museums showcase planes in their restored glory, this one offers the wrecks on display, with information about the crashes and the sites where they were rescued.
The museum is run completely by dedicated volunteers, and they’ve done their best to recreate the crash site as precisely as possible. The gift shop offers you the opportunity to buy actual aircraft parts or bullets recovered from the crash site. Each is accompanied by an authentication certificate.
Bluebell Railway
That Bluebell Railway offers you the chance to explore Sussex’s railway history on an genuine 1950s train ride. While on board you can enjoy a luxurious meal based on seasonal offers, and your meal is followed by coffee and tea.
The whole journey takes less than two hours. Along the way, you will see all that the stunning Sussex countryside has to offer. You can even take your dog with you most of the year, even though the dog cannot take part in certain special events.

When you are tired of petting animals, cool off with a splash of Splash Attack water or get your adrenaline pumping in the Sky Fall adventure.

Arundel Cathedral
This historical Roman Catholic cathedral overlooks the historic city of Arundel. The current building was commissioned by the Duke of Norfolk in 1868 and designed by Joseph Hansom. The original building was dedicated in the early sixteenth century.
The cathedral itself well worth exploring, and it would be hard to find better views anywhere else in the area. As you climb the hill towards the cathedral itself, you’ll go through streets that have barely changed from medieval times.
