New York Fashion Week bring the latest styles from some of the biggest fashion houses. Some trends may continue like velvet or fur, but each collection has something new for spring/summer. Check out the top trends to look for this spring.
New York Fashion Week is in full swing and throwing out fad after fad. Velvet, velor and fur continue to be in trend, but what else is new for spring and summer? The biggest fashion houses have shown what’s to come throughout the week. From NYFW, these are the top trends to look for this spring:
Extra long sleeves. The Michael Kors, The Row’s and Proenza collections all include sleeves that cover the hands.
One shoulder cut. Tibi, Monse and Zimmerman have switched shoulders. The collection includes the perfect shoulder cut, but only on one side rather than having the common shoulder or shoulder cut style.
Latex material. Tome, Marc Jacobs, and Hood by Air have added another must-have material to the list. Forget leather, this virtually shiny latex material is all in it.
Streetwear every day, all day. Tommy Hilfiger and Gigi Hadid, Alexander Wang and Yeezy Season 3 have redefined what streetwear means everywhere. Oversized hoodies and sweats are staple items in each collection.
Altuzarra, DVF and Jonathan Saunders kept the Spanish style going for the following season.
