The MTV VMA Awards are at all times an excellent show and August 31st is no exception. Taylor Swift made a surprise appearance and cleaned up bad blood with Nicki Minaj. Miley Cyrus hosted the award ceremony. Justin Bieber shows off his new look and performs his new single, “What Do You Mean?”. While the awards are entertaining, the style is even better this year. Black appears to be a common theme throughout appearances on the red carpet. Here are the best looks of the night:
Taylor Swift and her squad, including Selena Gomez, Lily Aldridge, Karlie Kloss, Gigi Hadid, Serena Williams and Hailee Steinfield. The entire army was wearing their most ferocious appearance. Swift wore a sparkling black and gold Ashish two-piece while her squad wore attractive dresses from Saint Laurent to Calvin Klein.
Chrissy Tiegan wore a wonderful sheer long robe from Marchesa. She wasn’t alone walking the red carpet, Tiegan’s husband, John Legend, was her date. Together, the A-list couple seems perfect.
Demi Lovato appeared in pastel colours and wore a wonderful pink minidress from Nicolas Jebran. It has lovely silver detailing. For Lovato’s “Cool for The Summer” performance, she rocked the black and purple onesie seen in the music video.
Vanessa Hudgens arrived with her sister Stella looking like a gypsy goddess. Both Hudgens wore floor-length lace dresses that accentuated their bohemian style. Vanessa Hudgens had a wonderful white floral cut all over her curly locks adding the perfect touch to her dress by Naeem Khan.
Emily Ratajkowski stuck with a black theme and wore a black and gold Altuzarra dress. The Sports Illustrated model added some punch to the dress with thigh-high boots.
