Alexandra Grecco’s bridal line features subtle dresses for less traditional brides.
For FW18, Alexandra Grecco mixed inspiration from a recent trip to the Ile de Re, an island off the west coast of France, together with silhouettes and details that can be found in a 1920s circus. The colours that make up the collection are inspired by the pastel and hollyhock buildings that line the narrow cobbled streets of the island. Glittering feathers and beads adorn the pieces selected from collection of wedding dressesadding cheer to the free-spirited bride while floral elements inspired by flowers found on the island are hand-embroidered on illusory tulle and made to look like tattoos.
Alexandra Grecco’s signature “easy” bridal style is making huge waves in the industry and she is unquestionably a designer to watch.
Alexandra Grecco released her first ready-to-wear collection in spring 2010, finding inspiration in past designs and cinematic landscapes, real and imagined. In her work, she finds herself drawn to classic and feminine designs that, while rooted in nostalgia, achieve a sense of timelessness.
