I have been a fan of Sophia Bush since her acting debut in One Tree Hill where she played the mean girl Brooke Davis who ended up having the biggest cast character growth in the whole series. Now Sophia Bush plays a badass detective with a dark past in the Chicago PD that was just renewed for Season 3. Sophia Bush is unquestionably an outstanding actress, fascinating audiences in whatever role she plays, but the real reason I love her – and why you should too –through his off-screen actions.
Sophia is involved in so many activist organizations that it is hard to count. He actively supports the Human Rights Campaign by advocating for LGBTQ equality and designed a limited edition t-shirt with Joe Fresh to raise awareness of the campaign. She is also a former recipient of the Human Rights Campaign’s Ally for Equality award for all her activism work. Sophia also supports “I Am That Girl,” a book that inspired a campaign to empower and encourage young girls all over the world. When Urban Outfitters released controversial products such as “Eat Less” t-shirts and Kent State T-shirts covered in fake blood, Sophia declared “war” on the brand and publicly boycotted the retailer. He has also worked with Pencils of Promise, Defend Tomorrow Initiative, and To Write Love on Her Arms. She recently returned from a trip to Uganda where she spent her 33rd birthday working with local women from three distinct ethical fashion brands 31 Bits, Akola Projects and Sseko Designs.
Sophia has at all times been compassionate towards her fans and has three pit bulls in rescue which shows us that her passion transcends the numerous organizations and causes she stands for. In my opinion, more celebrities should follow in his footsteps and work to make the world a better place with their influence and wealth. As she has said many times before, “I am an actress first, and an actress second.”
