Wölfffer Estate, one of Hampton’s most beloved and upscale wineries, has been delighting wine lovers for three decades. Using sustainable farming practices, Wölffer Estate Vineyard grows Merlot, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Their food-friendly, elegant wines are made for longevity and crowd-pleasing, and what other way to keep a wine lover happy than releasing a new Rosé?
The wine comes from Mendoza, Argentina, the country that started it all in the 1960s and that Christian Wölffer fell in love with. Christian admires everything from landscapes to fertile lands to equestrian traditions and wine-making traditions. Fifty years later, his kids run the Wölffer Estate and as a tribute to their father and his tradition, released Finca Wölffer.
Christian’s son Marc, who owns twenty hectares within the Santa Maria de los Andes Vineyards in Argentina, in addition to Roman Roth, Winemaker of the Wölffer Estate Vineyards will guide the production of the new Roses. It will be similar in style to the iconic gold label Wölfffer Rosé, but will have Malbec (Argentina’s premier region wine) as its base. The wine is light, where most Argentinian wines are generally heavy. Finca Wölffer is a brilliant showcase of high-quality wines, vibrant, food-friendly, fashionable and stylish in their output.
Wölffer is now the first New York vinery to embark on a global expansion. Roman Roth and Vineyard Manager Richie Pisacano visit the international property regularly to make sure the preservation of the Wölffer style in every bottle.
Because of the Wölffer family’s strong roots, Christian’s love of the unique landscapes native to Argentina and Long Island, and Roman Roth’s exceptional winemaking skills, Finca Rosé, Wölffer Estates’ second vintage, was a real hit!
