When & how did you start your music career?
I come from a really musical family. Having a mother who is a gospel singer and a father who is a rapper, I had no idea that singing, writing and entertaining would ultimately become my passion. I was about 15 years old when I actually realized that I wanted to sing. As the years passed, I finally understood the true meaning behind what ‘wanting something as bad as you want to breathe’ meant, so I took a big leap in my life when I was 21 years old. I made a decision to leave Ohio for NYC, all on my own, to turn my dream into a reality.
Who is your musical inspiration?
Michael Jackson was one of the biggest influences on me because of his creativity. Also numerous artists like Jamie Foxx for his encouragement, Tank for his immense talent, and Usher for his many skills.
What type of music did you listen to today?
I listen to every kind of genres like; Dubstep, R&B, Pop, Hip-hop, Country and Latin.
If you do not sing, what will you do?
It’s kind of impossible to say what I’m going to do because I’ve convinced myself that there isn’t any ‘B’ plan for me. I will still be writing for others and obviously dancing.
Do you play any instrument?
Not at the moment, but it is something that interests me.
What were you thinking while performing?
I consider my ‘why’ factor. Why am I here? Who am I doing it for? The reason behind it all is so I can give back to kids with Autism, and move my family to a safer place. While performing, not only do I at all times have a story to tell behind my performances, but I also consider ways to continue to be a good role model.
