Spring Workout Trends

Lately it appears to be a common way for people to be healthy is to follow fads. They started small and spread around the globe. Only in the past year have there been waist cincher trends, body wrap trends and more. They particularly became more popular recently as the weather started to cool down and it was nearly time for the beach. 2This is the latest trend to be healthy in 2016.

POUND

Cristina Peerenboom and Kirsten Potenza, former drummer, collaborated on their love of music and fitness and created Pound. This is a full-body cardio workout that uses lightweight sticks, called Ripsticks, with a mixture of isometric, plyometric, and pilates with constant drumming to burn about 900 calories in 45 minutes.

PHYSICAL 57

Beck asked made Physical 57 is a barre workout combined with cardio, strength training, stretching, and recovery. These exercises target specific muscle groups until fatigue and then you’ll have the ability to see results instantly.

HIGH INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING

High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) has consistently remained popular. This is where you do a brief period of high energy exercise followed by a brief rest. Familiar examples of HIIT are Insanity and Tabata.

SOUL CYCLE

Soul cycle very popular amongst celebrities and fitness gurus. You can simply head to the studio for a 45 minute class where you will get a full body cardio workout, they even add weights and core exercises to the routine, on the bike.

RAGE YOGA

Anger yoga is the new yoga. On the rage yoga website, it’s defined as, “a practice involving stretching, positional exercises, and bad humor, with the goal of achieving good health and becoming zen as f*ck. More than just an exercise, Rage Yoga is an attitude.” It is made for those who aren’t snug in class or studio and still want to take part in yoga.
